With love we announce the passing of our mom, Muriel LaBelle. Loving wife of 58 years to Reginald LaBelle (predeceased). Mom passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 30th at 102 years old in Wesburn Manor where she had been a resident for the past five years. Cherished mother of Janice Rogers (William) and Brenda Bodnar (Terrance Bodnar/Matthew Bland). Much loved grandmother of Randall Rogers (Gail), Debra Cameron (Douglas), and Jason Bodnar (Michelle). Proud great grandmother of Brandon (Janis), Kyle (Laina), Dylan (Stephanie), Shannon, Lauren, Hayley and Brooklyn.
Mom was born and grew up in Trenton, Ontario. She was predeceased by her four brothers and one sister. She lived in Alderwood for 67 years. She enjoyed her time with friends and family whether it was over a coffee or a special occasion or holiday. Mom loved baseball and her Toronto Blue Jays – she was a passionate fan and a pitcher herself with the all women’s baseball league in Trenton, Ontario. She also was an avid bingo player.
Thank you to the staff at Wesburn Manor for their tender loving care during her stay.
Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed, and very dear.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke (between Kipling & Islington Aves.) On Wednesday August 3, 2022 from 1 – 3pm. A Service to follow in the Chapel at 3pm. Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery on Thursday August 4 2022.
