A visitation and memorial service is being held in memory of Murray, details below. MITCHELL Murray Bruce – Passed away peacefully at the Woodstock Hospital on Friday, October 29th, 2021 in his 89th year. Beloved partner of June Love and cherished stepfather to Brenda Matthews, Cheryl McMillan and Randy Love. Loving grandfather of 10 and great- grandfather of 17 and dear brother of Iris Wood. Predeceased by his grandson Marc Matthews (2005), brother Garnet Mitchell (1999) and sister Arlene Allan (2019). Murray was a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #495, the Oxford County Naval Veterans Association and a volunteer firefighter for 27 years for Southwest Oxford. Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Saturday, November 26th, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. for a time of visitation. A memorial service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. If desired, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners would be appreciated and may be arranged through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Avenue, Woodstock (519-539-0004).
