Died on April 26, 2022 after a long battle with Parkinson’s. Milan was an electrical engineer by profession and he turned his hobbies of classical music appreciation and wine making into art forms. He was a spiritual person and a man of strong convictions. His persuasion led his family to escape communist Czechoslovakia for Canada in 1969, shortly after the Russian invasion. His last years were a true testament to his inner strength and zest for life.
Milan worked in the Department of Communication at the University of Windsor for over 30 years.
Survived by his loving wife Maria, with whom he celebrated 57 years of marriage. Dear father of Milan Podhorsky Jr. and Andrea Podhorsky (Peter Boyd). Loving grandfather of Mason and Helena.
For those who wish, donations may be made to the Parkinson Society of Southwestern Ontario.
All are welcome to gather at Corpus Christi Church, 1400 Cabana Rd. W., on Monday, May 2, 2022 for memorial visitation after 1:00 p.m. until the Funeral Mass in Celebration of Milan’s Life begins at 2:00 p.m.
