On July 14th, 2022, Michelle Mila Trkulja (Brown) was suddenly and tragically struck down by an undetected cyst in her brain at the age of 38. It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn her passing. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Laurie Brown; daughter, Maya Brown; mother, Milijana Trkulja; sister, Ashley (Wes) MacKenzie; brother, Michael Trkulja; mother-in-law, Judy Brown; aunt Dorothy (Robert) Stankovich; Her in laws; nieces and nephews, as well as numerous relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her loving father, Drago (Dan) Trkulja July 25th 1992; aunt, (Michelle Janja Panich) and her grandparents.
Michelle was a free spirit who loved above all her family, friends and community. She was a talented artist, healer, and entrepreneur. She volunteered for the Nikola Tesla foundation. She was an illustrator for the Serbian Magazine. She was very passionate about community and created the spiral garden in the Shamrock Park. Her legacy of helping others will live on in the donation of her organs to those in need.
Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home – “William J. Markey Chapel”, 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Thursday, July 21st from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 22nd at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Maya’s education fund is preferred.
