It is with heavy hearts that the family announces Mike’s sudden passing at their camp in Lavigne on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. Unfortunately, his heart decided it was his time to go at the young age of 50.
Cherished son of Diane Pilon-Leavens (née Arseneau), Don Leavens. Predeceased by his father Ron Pilon. Beloved husband to his high school sweetheart and wife of 25 years, Natalie Pilon (née Carrière). Loving father of Brianne Pilon (Félix Laramée) and Chelsey Pilon. Best friend and special brother to André Pilon (Renée Joanette-Pilon). Survived by his in-laws Raymond and Rosanne Carrière. Brother-in-law to Donald (Jessy), Louis (Céline), Luc (Claudette) and Lise (Michel). He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and his goddaughter Roxanne. He was a very special “mononcle” (uncle) to his little buddies Théo and Félix Pilon. Mike leaves behind many friends who will miss him dearly.
Mike will be remembered for being a hard worker who always provided and took care of his family. He spent his career working in the mining industry and had been a Key Account Manager of the Mining Division for Toromont CAT for the past 11 years and was recently promoted to the role of Senior Strategic Account Manager.
Mike loved to spend time at their newly bought camp on Lake Nipissing with his family and friends. His positivity and contagious smile made everyone around him feel welcomed and loved. Mike enjoyed being an avid outdoorsman who loved life and lived it to the fullest.
In keeping with Mike’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday August 13th, 2022, from 12pm to 3pm at The Caruso Club (Heritage Hall – Lower Hall) in Sudbury, ON. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
