It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Michael ‘’Mike’’ Rogers on Wednesday, May 25th, 2022, at the Cornwall Hospice; age 76 years. Beloved longtime partner of Wendy Johnston. Caring father of Scott Johnston (Sarah) of Spencerville, Mark Johnston (Erinn) of Cornwall and Lisa Rogers of Texas. Proud grandfather of Emma, Ben, Peyton, Ryder, Connor, Zia and Scarlet. Mike will be sadly missed by his brothers Terence and David, many nephews, nieces, friends, and family, especially Jennifer Lapointe. Predeceased by his parents Stan and Mary. As per Michael wishes, cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held at St. John the Evangelist, Church in the Wildwood, Lancaster, on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 11am. Followed by burial in the Parish Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Canadian Legion Hall, Lancaster, after the burial. For those who wish, Memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society or Cornwall Hospice, would be appreciated by the family. As a memorial to Michael, a tree will be planted in a memory woods. A tree grows – memories live.
