It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce
the sudden passing of Michael (Mike) David O’Leary, age 45,
of Halifax, N.S. on Monday, February 21, 2022. Born in Antigonish,
N.S. Michael was the son of Willard and Lorraine (Feltmate)
O’Leary of Tickle, N.S.
Besides his loving parents, Mike is survived by his precious
daughter, Melody Hodge; siblings, Tena (Ron Blackert), Patrick, Sheri
(Micheal Geddes), Crystal (Randy Connolly), Marjorie, Melissa (Evan
Theriault); he was Uncle Mikey to nephews Joshua, Matthew, Brendan,
Andrew, Blaine, and Kaleb; nieces Jessica, Chantel, Arabella, Chelsea,
Bailey, Marissa, Nikita, Cassie; great- nephew Jedidiah; also, many
wonderful Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.
Mike grew up in the Tickle surrounded by a loving family and
many friends. He always had a ‘Happy Go Lucky’
personality. Mike was a true Artist! From a young age, Mike had a
passion for Art, a love in which his daughter shares. He left his
legacy with the many pieces of artwork he created over the years. With
an adventurous lifestyle, Mike could be seen strutting the streets
wherever life took him.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be Friday, March
4, 2022 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Dennis Haverstock Funeral Homes
Ltd., Canso NS. A graveside burial will take place Saturday, March 5,
2022 at 2 pm at the Fourth Hill Cemetery, Canso, NS. with Pastor John
Jack officiating.
The Family of Mike would like to thank the many family,
friends and neighbours that have shown us how blessed we are.
‘Now that Michael has passed into the arms of our Lord, we
should remind ourselves that while this is the end of
Michael’s physical life on Earth, it’s the
beginning of an Eternal and Beautiful Journey for
him.’
