Michael Joseph “Mike” DeMars
March 31, 1954 – April 15, 2022
Mr. Michael Joseph “Mike” DeMars, Passed away suddenly on Friday, April 15, 2022 at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance “Wallaceburg” at the age of 68 years.
He was born in Chatham and was a son of the late Donald and Erma (Labor) DeMars-Mailloux.
Beloved husband of Cindy (Robinson) DeMars.
Loving father of Chris DeMars (Waka) and Jen Hrach (Jason).
Cherished grandfather of Finn and Sawyer.
Dear brother of Paul (Judy) DeMars, Mark (the late Sue) DeMars, and Peggy (Rick) Conliffe.
He is survived by his mother-in-law Audrey Robinson.
Kind brother-in-law of Denise Weston (Dennis) and Bob Robinson (Sue).
He will always be remembered by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Mike loved to garden especially growing giant tomatoes and pumpkins. He enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR while cheering on his favourite driver Kevin Harvick.
The late Mike DeMars is resting at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. Following his wishes, cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 21, from 1-3pm. The Funeral Service will follow starting at 3pm from the Chapel of the Funeral Home.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation may be left at the funeral home.
