Michael Charles Synnott Friday November 18th 2022 avis de deces

Synnott, Michael:
Passed away unexpectedly as a result of a heart attack, on Friday, November 18, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kitchener at the age of 74.
Beloved husband of Mary (nee Pickard) 16 years. Loving father of David Synnott, Erin Litshauer (Bill) and step-father of Michelle Clare (Lee-Anne), Alison Clare and Nicole Clare. Cherished grandfather of Lauren, Kate, Justin, Fae, Ava and Payton and great grandfather of Scarlett and Colson. Dear son of the late Frank Synnott (1970) and Helen McCarron (2013). Dear brother of the late Reverend Ron Synnott, Mary Beth Nolan (late Dennis), Jane Nunan (Mike), Patrick Synnott (Nancy), John Synnott (Heather) and Joanne Fagel (Roy) and brother-in-law of Frank Pickard (Cathy), Sharon Parkinson (Neil), Charles Pickard (late Laurie) and Terri Collins (Rob). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mike was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He showed up for those he loved for 74 years. Mike will be forever missed by his best friend and wife, Mary Synnott. Mike and Mary created so many cherished memories over their years together on their camping adventures, trips to the beach, blues festivals, workshops, and dances across Southern Ontario. Mike even recently discovered a love for swing dancing alongside his favourite dance partner and cherished wife, Mary.
Mike was a long time manager for Rexall and over the years he managed several stores in Ontario, eventually retiring from the store in Waterloo.
Mike will always be remembered for his kindness and patience. Anyone who met Mike will agree that he had a smile and laugh that lit up the room. His presence brought comfort and love to those around him.
Even without any sense of direction, Mike dedicated time to volunteering as a driver for the Children’s Aid Society, using his GPS as a guide. When he wasn’t helping and connecting with others in the community, Mike was always there to help his friends and family. Mike was quite handy and could fix just about anything. If you called, he never hesitated to come and be your hero. Whether it was a light switch or a toaster, Mike was always there to figure it out.
Mike’s love for the outdoors will be remembered fondly by all of his family. His children David and Erin have so many early memories of summers spent camping in their tent trailer together. As a family they took many trips to Sauble Beach and up north to Timmins. They will always remember the special memories they built together making campfires and going for walks on trails.
Mike was certainly someone who appreciated and loved the outdoors. He would always find opportunities throughout his life to go fishing, camping, and simply sit on the beach with those he loved.
Mike’s family will receive relatives and friends from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral Mass will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at St. Teresa’s R.C. Church, 44 Leonard Street, Kitchener. For those unable to attend, the service may be viewed via livestream at www.henrywalser.com/live-streaming. Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery, Breslau. Reception to follow in the church hall.
