Martin, Mervin
Passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington with his family present on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at the age of 71 years.
Beloved husband of and best friend of Vera (Gingrich) Martin for 47 years. Loving father of Richard and Colleen, Sandra and Tom Lamek. Proud Poppa and Grandpa to Bryce and Carly Martin; Anthony and Miles Lamek. Brother of Violet and Abner Gingrich, Paul Martin, Vera and Eugene Bauman, Verda and David Martin, and brother-in-law to Lois and Doris. Will be missed by many nieces, nephews and their families.
Predeceased by his parents Edwin and Susannah Martin, brothers Clifford and Stan, and sister-in-law Eileen. Mervin loved to be outdoors, tending to his flowerbeds and ponds. He loved his Leafs, bluegrass music, and most of all his family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow in Elmira Union Cemetery.
Donations to Hospice Wellington or Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated and may be made through the funeral home.
