Meda Emily Keeping 1932 2022

Obituary of Meda Emily Keeping
Age 89, of Falmouth, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on September 15, 1932 in Kingwell, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Margaret (Slade) Wareham.
Meda was a very loving wife and mother. She was a good friend to everyone and was always there to lend a helping hand. She thoroughly enjoyed her long walks, activities at the York Harbour Community Hall and cross-country skiing with her dear friend, Vida. Some of her best times were spent with friends and family on the boat she and her husband built, which was named the “Meda K”.
She is survived by her children, Dianne Wright, Linda (Rodney) Pennell and William Keeping; sisters, Eva Goulding, Kay Ledrew and Judy Horwood; brothers, Lyndy Wareham and Gary Wareham; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Gregory Keeping.
A very special thank you to the Palliative Care Unit at the Hants Community Hospital in Windsor, for their kindness and compassion at a very emotional time.
Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A private graveside service will be held for both Gregory and Meda in Centre Falmouth Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Meda may be made to The Salvation Army, 15 Nichols Ave, Kentville, NS B4N 2G9.
