Allan Douglas (Bud) McChesney of Edmonton Alberta, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022 at the age of 80 years.
Bud was born May 10, 1942 in South Porcupine Ontario and grew up in Timmins Ontario, the eldest of 4 children.
At the young age of 16, Bud joined the Canadian Armed Forces and proudly continued his Army career until he retired as Warrant Officer in 1979. After retirement, Bud moved the family to Edmonton, where he began a second successful career with Alberta Transportation. Bud also continued doing contract work with the Armed Forces bases in Edmonton.
(Once an army man, always an army man).
In August 1965, Bud married the love of his life Margaret (Peggi) Behie, and this was when his real adventure began. Bud and Peggi were married for 52 years when Peggi passed away in 2017.
Bud’s memory will be lovingly remembered by his children: Sean (Caroline) McChesney, Brenda (David) Zimmel and Meg McChesney; his grandchildren: Zach (Zachary), Stephen, Kyle (Christie), Dalton (Nicole), Dylan, Kirsten, Kendra, Mackenzie and Adrianna; his great grandchildren: Jayce, Oakley and Hudson; his sisters: Shirley (Claude) Martel, Donna-Lee Conley; sister-in-law Sharon McChesney and many life-long friends.
Bud was predeceased by his loving wife Peggi McChesney; parents: Don and Norma McChesney; brother Jack McChesney and brother-in-law Wayne Conley.
Bud had a kind and generous heart, and was loved by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Kensington Shepherd’s Care Chapel, (4th floor) 12603 135 Avenue NW in Edmonton.
If friends and family so desire, memorial contributions may be made in Bud’s memory to Kensington Shepherd’s Care Long Term Care or Alzheimer’s Society of Alberta.
