Obituary
Maynard Alfred Whitehawk Jr., was the loving son of Barbara Whitehawk. He was born in Kamsack, SK on January 6, 1974. As a boy he worked for his father at Triple M Stables in Madge Lake, SK. In 1994, he graduated from CGEC and attended First Nations University for two years.
Junior followed Native American Church and travelled to the states. Junior was a singer in church, and you can hear his songs on YouTube. He was a very kind man; and a helper to everyone. He worked for Evraz Steel, in Regina for many years until he became ill. He stayed positive throughout his illness. Junior would phone his mom every day, just to hear her voice.
Junior had many nicknames, such as Goldie, Barn Swallow and Toons and he would laugh, he sure liked to laugh.
Survived by his mom, Barbara Whitehawk; his children, Johanna, Maynard, Kwaniel, Kiyanaw Whitehawk; his brothers and sisters, Mark (Crystal) Whitehawk, Teresa Straightnose, Sonya Whitehawk, Lavina (Brypr) Olenicki, Colleen Whitehawk, Marilyn Frank, Vernon Frank, Frank Laforge, his father; nephews, Leonard, Keith, Eric Ketchemonia.
Predeceased by Maynard Whitehawk Sr., Jory Keshane, nephew, Lloyd Straightnose; grandparents, Victor and Evelyn Shingoose, Wesley Whitehawk and Alice Ketchemonia; James and Dorothy Crowe, great grandparent and Harry Stoney.
We would like to thank Raymond Shingoose, Jonas Smoky Day, Bryon Langan and Lance Crowe for being there for Junior.
