Obituary of Maxine Etta Toffelmire
For eighty-nine years she blessed those who knew her with love and happiness. Passed in peace, July 8, 2022, Maxine Toffelmire. Dearly beloved wife of the late Milton. Loving mother of Brenda (late Rodger, 2018) Shaw, Laurie (Joe) McCormick, Marna Wilkinson, Holly (Doug) Chaytor, Cheryl (Jim) Vandenbroek, and Kelvin (Laura) Toffelmire. Proud grandmother of 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She married the love of her life Milton Wyate Toffelmire on April 28, 1951. They shared many adventures together for sixty-nine years! Maxine will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving mother and grandma. She enjoyed flowers, crocheting, knitting and many artistic endeavours.
A special thank you to Dr. Puente and the nursing staff on Two South at Strathroy Hospital for all their compassionate care.
A Visitation will take place at DENNING’S OF WATFORD on July 12, 2022 from 4:00-7:00pm. A Funeral Service will take place the following day at the funeral home on July 13, 2022 at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Warwick Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Strathroy Middle General Hospital Foundation, Watford United Church or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
