It is with great sadness that the family of Maxine Carole Robbins announce her passing on July 20, 2022, peacefully at her home.
Maxine was born to Glen (Skin) and Helen Irwin, in Stratford, on December 20, 1937. Maxine is survived by the love of her life and best friend Don Robbins of 64 years married. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters Nancy and Lynn. Maxine was a devoted and proud Grandmother to Braeden and McKenna whom she loved deeply.
Maxine is survived by sister Pat Duncan and sister-in-law Joanne Irwin, and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her parents, brother Doug Irwin, in-laws Gerry and Frances Robbins, sisters-in-law Gail Robbins and June Robbins, brothers-in-law Gerry Robbins and Bill Duncan.
Maxine worked for 40 years as an elementary school teacher and retired with her love of books as a school librarian. She was an avid gardener and loved spending time with her family.
Cremation has taken place. In lieu of a funeral service, and to honour Maxine’s life, she has asked that all who wish to participate, please make a donation to Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth or Stratford Perth Humane Society.
