Obituary
On Monday October 3rd, 2022, Matthew Steele suddenly and unexpectedly passed away.
Matthew is survived by his loving family members: son, Bennett, mother, Danusia, father, Peter, step-mother, Luise, brother, Nicholas (Dinah), sister, Stefanie (Mark), nephews, Parker, Connor, Clarke and Charlie, and grandmother Walentyna Angove (Cliff, deceased). Predeceased by his brother Chris (2017).
Matthew was a larger than life character who would light up a room with his energy, stories and sarcastic humor. He loved the outdoors and was always up for an adventure whether getting out on the ski hills, riding his mountain bike or hiking and especially spending time with his Son, Ben.
He was a great craftsman, renovator and builder. Matthew had a very creative artistic eye which was evident in many of his works which were constructed in Muskoka. Muskoka was a place that was very near and dear to his heart.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation for Matthew will be held at the Port Carling Community Center, 3 Bailey Street, Port Carling on Thursday, October 13th from 11am – 1 pm. At 1 pm a few memories and words about Matthew will be shared, followed by a luncheon and time to share our stories.
