With broken hearts, we, the family, announce the passing of Mary Yvonne “Bonnie” Wadden on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, in Hospice Cape Breton.
Born July 10, 1937, in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Katherine (MacNeil) Peters.
Bonnie was a member of Immaculate Heart parish, Mira Road, where she was involved with the CWL. Until retirement, she worked as a PCW at the MacGillivray Guest Home.
Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Mora (Ken) McLean, Kathy (Brian) Glasgow, Shauna Boutilier and Meghan Wadden; sons, Stan (Tracey) Wadden, Brent (Gwen) Wadden and Scott Wadden; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Donna (Bob) Frost; brother, Harold (Theresa) Peters; and sister-in-law, Bridget Peters.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Reginald; sister, Mora Peters; brother, Charles Peters; grandson, Dustin Wadden; and son-in-law, Stephen Boutilier.
As Mom’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service, but a private family interment will be held.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton County or a local food bank.
