Obituary for Mary Whiting
Mary Jane Whiting (nee Durance) passed away with family by her side at C.E.E. Hospital, Petrolia on Saturday, May 7, 2022, in her 86th year. Mary was predeceased by her husband Donald Whiting (2013), her granddaughter Jamilyn Piggott (2000), her great grandson Isaac Johnson (2015), her parents Jason (1940) and Christina Blanche (1956), and her brothers Edward (1993) Donald (2003), Bob (2007), and John (2016) Durance and sister Margaret Salisbury (2003). She is survived by her children Randy (Sherry) Whiting of Oil Springs, Ronald Whiting of Sarnia, Delorse (Rick) Healy of Petrolia, Marilee (Mark) Wright of Sarnia, Daniel (Sue) Whiting of Petrolia, and Shrie (Jim) Piggott of Oil Springs, her sisters Elizabeth Wyant of Sarnia and Evelyn Durance of Saskatoon, her son-in-law Tim Wright of Petrolia, and by her thirteen grandchildren and twentyone great grandchildren. In honor of Mary’s wishes a private service will be held with interment in Hillsdale Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to C.E.E. Hospital Foundation (www.ceehf.ca) or St. Josephs Hospice (www.stjosephshospice.ca).
