Mary Theresa (Gardiner) Taylor, wife of the late Francis Taylor of Bridgeview Hall, formerly of Old King George Hwy, Miramichi, passed away on Sunday March 27,2022 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 87.
Born in New Jersey NB, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Jane (Russell) Gardiner. She was a retired custodian for the former High, Low and Ebb Tide, a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, volunteer for receptions within the church and also was a cook for the local Food Bank Kitchen.
She is survived by five daughters, Maria West of Miramichi, Mary Louise Lyons of Doaktown, Deborah Ann Estey of Sevogle, Eva Brown Collins of Miramichi and Sandra Worrall of Miramichi, one son Roger John Brown of Dartmouth NS, two sisters, Audrey Arbeau of Miramichi and Daisy Dick of Alberta, two brothers, John Cortes of British Columbia and Herman Cortes of Miramichi, 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband Wesley Brown, her second husband Francis Taylor and three sisters, Margaret Gardiner, Elsie Storey and Eva Summerville and brothers Joseph Gardiner and Frank Cortes.
Mary Theresa (Gardiner) Taylor is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, with visitation on Tuesday from 4-8 pm. The Funeral Service will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 am at Davidson’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Father John Beaumaster. Burial will be in the family plot of Miramichi Cemetery later in the spring.
