Obituary
Mary, also known as May and Mamie was a war-bride from Glasgow, Scotland where she met and married Edward (Ted) Mongrain and then immigrated to Canada after WWII. She leaves behind her sons, Clyde, Thomas and Scott (of Kipawa) and her daughters Deborah (North Bay) and Rosanne (Eldee), and respective spouses – her grandchildren, Tammy, Jim, Erin, Melanie, Marnie, Joshua, Coren, Ben, Myles, Chad, Burton, Danny, Spencer, and Kaitlyn and many Great and Great, Great Grandchildren as well as her sisters Fay and Margaret and their families in Scotland.
She is joining, in a better place, her husband Ted, daughters Judy and Ada and her granddaughter Tina-Marie. Her parents James and Susan and siblings James, Sadie and Tommy from Scotland
Mary was a proud Scotswoman and Glaswegian. She often spoke in her still present Scottish accent of her childhood home, stories of the Wee People and passed many traditions on to her family. The Scots poet Robert Burns (Rabbie Burns) was a favorite of hers.

The family will receive visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Wednesday February 9, 2022, between the hours of 11am and 1pm followed by a funeral service in the McGuinty Funeral Home Chapel at 1pm. Current COVID 19 restrictions require attendees to pre-register to attend the visitation and/or service please call the funeral home (705-472-8520)to make an appointment. The total number of attendees are limited, social distancing requirements must be respected, and masks or face coverings are required inside the funeral home at all times.
