Martha Bentz
July 20, 1942 – November 19, 2022
Martha Bentz passed away peacefully on November 19, 2022, at the age of 80. Martha was born on July 20, 1942. She was raised on a farm near Punnichy, Saskatchewan where she lived happily with her parents Ed and Vera Thomas, along with her siblings Helen, Margaret, Dorothy, Myrtle, Rose, Lionel, and Eddy.
She married Wayne Bentz on November 3, 1962 at the Saint Albert Church in Punnichy. Wayne and Martha started their married life in small town Punnichy. They were blessed with three children: Stan, Curtis, and Stacey. Wayne and Martha operated a cafe in Punnichy for six months. After that, they moved to Raymore in 1964 where Wayne worked as a mechanic and Martha raised their children.
Martha loved having her family over for gatherings and also loved a good game of 3 Spot. She had a very strong belief and faith in God.
In 2022 she moved into Silver Heights Nursing Home until her passing.
A Memorial Service for Martha will be held Thursday, November 24, 2022 at 11 am in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Raymore, SK.
