Obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Mark Lewis Campbell on August 23, 2022 at the age of 66. Mark will be greatly missed by his daughter Amy Colby, his son in law Aaron Colby and his grandchildren, Maggie, Gunther and Elsbeth. Mark is predeceased by his parents, Clayton and Marguerite Campbell of Callander. He is survived by his siblings, Sandra Truchon (Robert), Randy Campbell, Rick Campbell (Jeani), Cliff Campbell (Crystal), Jeff Campbell (Mary), Kip Campbell (Brenda), Kelly Howden (Phillip), Sherry Soule, and Michael (Barb) Campbell. He is predeceased by his siblings John Campbell and Reg (Brenda) Campbell. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, co-workers and long-time friends, who he cherished dearly.
Mark was a man outstanding in his field, a retired machinist who worked for many years at Boart Longyear in North Bay. A long-time resident of Callander, Mark’s home was a hub for friends and family, good food and much laughter. He enjoyed hunting, playing crib, listening to music and cooking. He loved holidays and making his grandchildren laugh. He was well known for his one-liners, extremely quick wit and kind-hearted generosity. Mark had a welcoming spirit, an open-door policy and a way of making people at ease in his presence. He will rest peacefully with his parents and brother at the Callander Union Cemetery.
A celebration of life will be held on October 8, 2022, from 1 pm to 5 pm, at the Callander Legion Branch 445.
Please come and share stories and laughs, and have a beer, in Mark’s memory.
