Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marion Verna Ruth announce her passing on December 11th, 2022 at the Corner Brook Western Long-Term Care in her 87th year. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Marilyn Strickland, and Paul Ruth (Maggie); grandchildren: Jennifer Strickland (Dean), and Jonathan Strickland (Samantha); great-grandchildren: David, Jordan, Cameron, Landon, Levi, and Lane; brothers: Don, and Jack (Barbara); sisters-in-law: Lydia Ruth, and Blanche Ruth; and niece: Jackie Lundrigan; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Marion is predeceased by her husband: William Ruth; parents: Maxwell and Harriett Taylor; sisters: Gwen, and Lillian; brothers: Will (Bride), and Howard (Bernice); sister-in-law: Margie; brothers-in-law: Howard, and Wallace; grand-nephew: Ryan Lundrigan, and his father William Lundrigan.
There will be a visitation held at Country Haven Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 13th, 2022 from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM from where the funeral service will take place on Wednesday, December 14th, 2022 at 10 AM in the Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. Cremation to follow. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, instead a donation can be made in Marion’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society, or a charity of one’s choice.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the nurses, doctors, and staff of the Western Long-Term Care-Nature’s Haven floor, for their care and compassion during Marion’s stay.
