Marilyn Ruth Leslie O’Brien 1946 2022

Marilyn Ruth (Leslie) O’Brien, RN, passed in the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Oct. 10th, 2022. Born in 1946 in Halifax, NS, Marilyn was the youngest daughter of Sgt. Arnold E. and Ruth E. (Conrod) Leslie. A graduate of Queen Elizabeth High School, Marilyn went on to graduate from the Victoria General Hospital School of Nursing in the class of 1967, when she received her registered nursing certificate.
Marilyn worked at the Victoria General Hospital until she, with her family, relocated to Fredericton in 1977. She worked at the DECH until her retirement.
She is survived by her husband David A. O’Brien, daughter Jennifer D. (Richard) O’Brien; grand-daughter Tamsin Tennant of Greely, ON; son Timothy J. of Sheffield, NB; two sisters Linda Lalumiere, of Winnipeg; Jessie Strickland, of Lower Sackville, NS and brother David (Rose) Leslie, as well as several nieces and nephews.
No public services will be held, with a private burial service to beheld at a later date. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
