Marilyn Whitelock, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022, at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. She was born in Dryden, Ontario on July 16, 1926, to Melville and Olga Fisher. Marilyn was an eighth generation descendent of William Dawson Fisher; the first settler, May 1896, of New Prospect (which became Dryden in 1910). His wife Agnes arrived in July, and he delivered his son James in August, the first baby born there. William was killed in France, December of 1916. Marilyn married Tom Paris and had her son Keith and daughter Valerie. After Tom passed away, she remarried to Glenn Whitelock, also now deceased. She is predeceased by two sisters, Ruth Campbell and Shirley Dello. Marilyn is survived by her son and daughter and their spouses, three grandsons and two granddaughters, seven great grandchildren, and two step granddaughters. Besides family, volleyball and cribbage were her main interests. Family service to be held, burial at Riverside.
