Obituary
Marilyn June Kirkby
Marilyn June Kirkby, died peacefully in Smiths Falls on October 22, 2022 at the age of 84. Marilyn was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert and her parents Merville and Annie Spinks. Survived by her loving children Robert of Kingston, Cherie (Kevin Cotnam) of White Lake, Ronald (Nicole) of Brockville, Debra (Mike Murphy) and Richard both from Smiths Falls. She is predeceased by her siblings Alden, Tom, John, Mary, Gwen, Eva, Ethel and Gloria.
A life well lived is a precious gift. Marilyn’s favorite things included her grandchildren Alyse, Roxanne (Joe), Scott (Shannen), Mathew, Cheyanne, Erin (Shane), Chelse (Hugh), Kaitlyn, Grace, Melody, Paityn and Ryan and her great grandson Isaac. She also loved her large extended family, friends and her puppies Cassie and Boss. She was comforted in her final days by listening to the music recorded by talented family members.
Born June 1938, she met and married Robert in 1960 and they made their home in Sudbury for a short time. Marilyn and Robert operated their little family farm in Beckwith for almost 30 years and she was a pillar of the neighborhood.
She was mom to many, a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend; there was always room for extras at the family dinner table.
