Marilyn’s Obituary
Nickerson, Marilyn Elizabeth – It is with great sadness the family of Marilyn Elizabeth Nickerson (Centreville), formerly of West Pubnico, announce her untimely passing on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 with her children by her side. Born June 11, 1952, the only daughter to Alvin and Charlotte D’Entremont of West Pubnico. Marilyn was a secretary in her earlier years and a homemaker most of her life. She thoroughly enjoyed going dancing, singing, walks to the shore, outings with friends, and Tim Hortons for hot chocolate, specifically in a mug. Her children loved Marilyn’s chocolate chip cookies and it was by luck if they made it into the oven for baking. She leaves behind her children to mourn her sudden passing; Julianne (Michael) Link, Natalie (Nick) Perry, Anders (Sarah), Matthew (Rebecca), Jenna (Wade), and Regan (Tanya); grandchildren, Michael Jr., Naomie, Stefan, Farren, Sophie, Sara Grace, Havanah, Rhian, Grady, Wyatt, James, Brayden and Nolan; great grandchildren; Harper, Rowan, Gracie and Fisher. Marilyn is also survived by brothers, Clifford (Joyce) D’Entremont, Richard “Bee” (Karen) D‘Entremont, and Gerard (Merlyn) D’Entremont. Besides her parents, Marilyn was predeceased by her brother Cecil (Mariette) D’Entremont. Special friends left behind whom Marilyn enjoyed; Audrey, Shirley, Melinda, John, Pat, Zena, Laura, and Darlene (Froggie) and partner Glen Bower along with his son Richard. Special thanks to 3 – South nursing staff at Yarmouth Regional Hospital and especially Tristan and Shayna for their deep care and concern for our mother and family during her time at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Barrington. No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 2:00 PM, from the H.M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington, with Pastor Don Scheel officiating. Burial in St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, West Pubnico. Immediate family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Let Your Light Shine Jevon Link Society.
