Obituary
HEMEON, Marilyn Clare (Matthews) – 89 of Shelburne. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Marilyn Clare Hemeon.
A social butterfly, mom loved to talk to people and was loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and Yahtzee. She loved spending time with her family, whether it be camping, family BBQ’s and the annual Hemeon Hoedown. Mom loved music, especially listening to her sons play the guitar and singing along. She worked at Shelburne Fisheries, and was a mail carrier for 34 years.
Marilyn is survived by her children; Daryl (Sue) Hemeon, Ohio, Linda Fudge (Johnny), Stephen Hemeon, Marilyn (Charles) Childs, all of Shelburne, Ronald (Yvonne) Hemeon, Gunning Cove, Dawn (Arnold) Hammond, Shelburne, 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, Fletcher Matthews and Margaret (Powers) Matthews of Shelburne, her beloved husband Leon Hemeon, daughter Phyllis Whiteway and Sherri Hemeon, sons-in-law, Lawrence Whiteway and Percy Fudge, grandson, Cody, and great-grandsons, Steven, Michael and Craig Dolliver.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Shelburne. There will be a visitation Thursday, September 22nd, from 7-9 PM, at Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 59 Bulkley Street, Shelburne. A funeral service will take place Friday, September 23rd, at 2:00 PM, from Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 58 Bulkley Street, Shelburne, Reverend Benjamin VonBredow officiating.
