Marietta Jean Inman
1935-2022
With her loving family by her side, Marietta Jean Inman (Goodine)
peacefully departed this life on June 25th, 2022 at the Upper River
Valley Hospital in Waterville, NB. Beloved wife of 58 years of the
late John C. Inman.
She leaves to mourn her daughter Kathy Goodine of Perth-Andover and
her son Dr. Mark Inman (Vangie) of Fredericton. Three grandchildren;
Melissa Ferguson (Jared) of Calgary, Mitchell Goodine of Fredericton
and Marquelle Piers (Jonathan) of Fredericton. Three great
grandchildren; Thorin and Octavia Furguson, and Harlen Piers. Very
special and dear nephew, Wayne Goodine (Elizabeth) of Madison,
Mississippi.
The family wishes to acknowledge the friendship and caring bond that
Marietta shared with her chosen daughter Omega Carter and her husband
Delroy. We sincerely appreciate your help, love and support that you
so generously gave mom.
She was predeceased by her husband John; her son in law, Kevin
Goodine; and her grandson, Jared Mark Inman.
Marietta was born in Tilley, NB on January 10, 1935 to parents Herman
and Edna (Plant) Goodine. she was the youngest of 15 Children. She is
survived by one sister, Maxine McAllister of Quispamsis and one
brother, Graydon Goodine of McAdam. She was predeceased by siblings;
Eska Tompkins, Marie Parady, Clayton Goodine, Murchie Goodine, Glasier
Goodine, Haley Goodine, Gilbert Goodine, Phyllis Milton, Leila Argue,
Donnie Goodine and Betty Stairs.
Marietta was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Although she was
a stay at home mom for many years, she was very busy and active in her
church and her community. As a long time member of Calvary Tabernacle
in Perth-Andover she taught Sunday School and played the piano both at
church and at the seniors homes. In her community she was a member of
the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada which was an important
part of her life. She was also involved in the Hospital Auxiliary and
the Meals on Wheels program.
Thank you to her physician, Dr. David Bell, the staff of Victoria
Villa and the Upper River Valley Hospital for the excellent care that
Mom received from you all.
Visitation will be held from Calvary Tabernacle, Perth-Andover on
Thursday June 30, 2022 from 12:30-2:00pm. Funeral service will be held
Thursday June 30, 2022 at 2pm from Calvary Tabernacle, Perth-Andover.
The interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. For those who
wish, donations may be made in Moms name to Hotel Dieu St. Jospeh’s
Hospital Auxiliary or the Bannon Childrens Camp.
Arrangements have been intrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover, NB.
