Marie Richard
1933-2022
Marie Richard, 88, of Saint-Norbert, passed away peacefully,
surrounded by her family, at the Dr Georges-L-Dumont UHC, on Saturday
January 22, 2022. She was married to the late Paul Richard (1998).
Born in Harcourt, she was the daughter of the late Joseph C and the
late Eleonore (Gallant) Arsenault.
Marie was a humble, cheerful and kind hearted woman of great faith.
Her smile and personality touched everyone she met. All were welcome
in her home. She was so proud of her large family and the love they
all shared for each other. «She was an angel even before we lost
her».
She will be sadly missed by her nine daughters; Annette
Thériault (André), Dianne LeBlanc (Donald), Andréa
LeBlanc (Donald), Della Breau (Normand), Irma Arsenault (Michel),
Pauline Allain, all of Saint-Antoine, Aline Thériault
(Honoré), Yvette Robichaud (Timmy), both of Saint-Norbert,
Lucille Cormier (Valmond) of Saint-Grégoire, her four sons;
Arcade (Gisele), Donald (Parise), Rheal (Carolyn),all of
Saint-Antoine, Jacques (Linda) of Saint-Grégoire, twenty two
grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren (18th on the way). She
also leaves to mourn one sister, Louise Richard (late Antoine) of
Moncton, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends.
Marie was predeceased by one son in infancy, Arcade, one son-in-law,
Maurice (2016), six sisters; Yvonne Gould, Ida Gallant, Evangeline
Robichaud, Jeannette Richard, Alma McIntyre, Emelie Richard and four
brothers; Antoine, Arthur, Raymond and Alyre.
A special thank you to the staff of the 4E department at the
Georges-L-Dumont hospital, for the great care provided to Marie. Thank
you also to the numerous individuals who offered their assistance and
affection at her home. To Diane Duffy who regularly brought the Holy
Communion to her home, we thank you.
Due to the level 3 Covid-19 restrictions, visitations and funeral
service will be held at a later date. The date and time will be posted

In Marie’s memory we encourage you to share a meal with your
loved ones and perform an act of kindness for someone. Donations can
be made to Saint-Norbert Cemetery fund.
