POIRIER, MARIE ELIZABETH 1921 … 2022 Marie Elizabeth Poirier,
101, of Bouctouche Cove, passed away peacefully surrounded by her
family on Wednesday December 28, 2022 at the Stella Maris de Kent
Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent. She was married to the late Antoine
Poirier (1997). Born in Rivière-du-Portage, she was the daughter
of the late Rémi and the late Brigitte (Vienneau) Godin.
She will be sadly missed by her four children; Noëlla Landry
(late Laurie) of Bouctouche Cove, Gladys Fontaine (Gerry) of Cocagne,
Patricia McGrath (François), Rémi (Karen) of McDougall, her
fifteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and six great
great grandchildren, one daughter-in-law; Alice Poirier of Cocagne and
several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by two sons; Normand, Jean, six sisters; Lydia,
Amanda, Marie, Célina, Geneviève, Adelaide and three
brothers; Jim, Albénie and William.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de
l’église, Bouctouche on Monday January 2, 2023 from 2:00 pm
to 3:45 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Jean
Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Monday January 2, 2023
at 4:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
FACE MASKS ARE MANDATORY AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
In Marie Elizabeth’s memory, donations may be made to the CHU
DUMIONT Foundation «Oncology».
