Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Marie Anderson (Schnack), wife of the late Ernie Anderson, of Lintlaw, announce her passing on Monday, October 3, 2022. She was 80 years of age.
Marie Lillian May Anderson was born on January 11, 1942 to Bill and Dorothy (nee Mitchell) Schnack on the family farm in the Lintlaw District of Saskatchewan.
Marie grew up on the farm and attended school in the district. She later met Ernest Anderson and they were married in April of 1961.
Together, Marie and Ernie farmed in the Lintlaw district. They later adopted their two sons, Corey and Gerry. Marie did everything on the farm including looking after the animals and tending to her large garden. She was always entertaining and visiting with friends and neighbours. Her coffee pot was always on.
Playing cards was a favourite past time and they always look forward to visiting with friends and neighbours at their weekly card nights. Marie was a fantastic cook and baker. She always had homemade buns, perogies and cabbage rolls in the freezer on hand for any company that came for a visit. Marie volunteered with various things in the community including making lunches with the Sunshine Belles. She enjoyed travelling with her friends Grace Burch and Eleanor Murrison together they went to many places in Canada on various trips.
Marie was predeceased by her parents, her husband Ernie in 2003 and her brother, Bob.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sons Corey and (Dannette) and their daughters, McKenna and Alexa; son, Gerry; sister, Bertha; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A private graveside service was held at the Lintlaw Community Cemetery.
Memorials in memory of Marie may be made to the Kelvington Hospital Foundation as gifts of remembrance.
