Surrounded by her family, God called our dear Marianne peacefully on September 5, 2022, at the age of 76. She passed away in her sleep holding her son John-Paul’s hand. After 20 years of hospital visits, we can confidently say our mother was a survivor with the most incredible spirit, strength, and resilience. She is, and always will be, an inspiration. Her kindness, laughter and fabulous style will never be forgotten and will live on through her sons, family, and friends. Marianne put everyone before herself and took such pride in raising her sons Michael, John-Paul, and Joseph (Tina) who cherished her dearly and will miss her so. She will be forever missed by her loving husband, John. She is now reunited in heaven with her beloved parents, Michael Joseph, and Mary Stephanie. Her parents raised her in the Ukrainian Canadian community and Mary (babcha) instilled in her integrity, love, and compassion. Adoring sister to Michael Jr, she now rejoins with her brother Bobby (Geri). Loving sister-in-law to Jack (Franca), Anthony and Joseph (Dorelle). Marianne is now reunited with her father-in-law Domenico (Bettina). Finally, she will be reunited with her sister of the heart Valerie who not only was her best friend, but her entire family is now part of our family. Marianne will be held dear in the hearts of her family and many friends.
Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Friday, September 9, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Mass will be at 730 p.m.The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Demetrius the Great Martyr Parish (135 La Rose Ave., north of Eglinton Ave.) Interment to follow at mount hope cemetery .
