Obituary of Maria Daeschle
DAESCHLE: Maria –
Maria Daeschle (Kopecki) left her home in Newmarket, Ontario, on December 13, 2022, to celebrate her 99th birthday in heaven with her beloved Tony. Maria was born in Romania on December 14, 1923. She was the eldest sister of Martha, Alfred, Ludovika and Edwin (all predeceased).
Maria had friends and family around the world. She loved to spend time in Germany with many friends and relatives including her sister-in-law Rosa Maria Kopecki, nieces and nephew.
Maria was loved by her children Ron and Ruth-Anne (Mark Douris). She was Oma to Matthew, Andrew, Anthony, Mark, Colin and Logan. As a resident of Chatham, Ontario for most of her life, Maria enjoyed golf (Maple City Country Club) and Florida.
She was very proud that she had two career holes-in-one. Maria was an amazing cook, avid gardener and loved to play the harmonica. She shared 98 glorious years with friends and family creating a lifetime of memories – smile when you think of her.
It was Maria’s wish that her family remember her privately.
Donations made in memory of Maria to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
