Obituary
Peacefully at Hamilton General Hospital, surrounded by her loving children at the age of 92 on December 9, 2022. Maria will now be reunited with her beloved husband Giustino. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Gabriel (Ellen), Angela, Rita (Jim), Paul and, Robert (Mary). Cherished nonna of Mark (Nicole), Steven (Nicole), David (Sandra), Michael (Brittany), Tiffany (Bryan), Sabrina (Johnny), James and, Nicolas. Proud bisnonna of Olivia, Nya, Aubree, Lydia, Luca and, Vincent. Much loved sister and sister-in-law of Giuliana D’ Amico (Umberto), Giuseppina Olivieri (Mario), Anna Pavoni (and the late Secondo), the late Vincenza DiMatteo (Silvo), the late Rosina Romandini (Annibale), the late Antonio (Rosina), the late Angelo Luzi (Loreta), Lino luzi (Anna) and the late Phillipo Luzi (Angela). Maria will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews cousins and friends in Canada and in Italy. Special thanks to the staff at Extendicare Hamilton for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL 43 Barton Street East Hamilton, on Wednesday, December 14, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. with Vigil prayers at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at All Souls Church on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Burlington.

If I could have only one more day, only one more. I would pick up the phone and tell you I love you. I would thank you for loving me unconditionally. And I would thank you for helping me to be me. If I could have only one more day. I pray heaven is everything you dreamt it to be. I pray you’re safe and free of pain and have met up with your loved ones. And I pray you have heard every word I have said. To my Darling Mum, I will love you forever, so be safe until we meet again.
