On Sunday, November 27, 2022, Margaret Gray Gemmell passed away peacefully at the age of 92. Margaret was born on November 10, 1930, in Dalmuir, Scotland to John Main Jackson and Janet Jackson. Margaret came to Canada in 1955 at the age of 22 and on one special night fell in love at the Palais Royale Dancehall to late husband (Alexander). They returned to Scotland and started their family welcoming daughters Janet (late Harry) and Sandra. They then made their final move back to Scarborough ON. in 1966 and continued their life story together making beautiful memories with family and friends. Margaret was a dedicated member of her church teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir, an avid sports fan, and cherished quality time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A beloved Nanny to Lester (Britt), Alexander (Julia), Michael (Lissa), Karla (Greg) and Great Nanny to Maxwell, Benjamin, Bianca, and Cooper, and sister to Janette (late Ronnie) Aunt to Susan (Brian), Elizabeth, and Iain and Great Aunt to Connor and Adam.

We invite family and friends to celebrate a life so gracefully lived at Nanny’s church Malvern Presbyterian Church 1301 Neilson Rd, Scarborough ON. M1B 3C2, on Tuesday December 6th, 2022, at 11am. Reception to follow.
