Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mom and grandma, Margaret teVelde, on April 22, 2022 at the age of 71.
Margaret was known to all as a kind and compassionate human being who always put the interests of others ahead of her own. While working for 20 years as a cashier at IGA, Sobey’s and Co-Op, Margaret made many lasting friendships with both customers and staff. Margaret had a servant’s heart and spent countless hours volunteering at Ebenezer Church’s Friendship program as a mentor and as a local fundraising coordinator for Rehoboth Christian Ministries.
Margaret leaves behind her loving husband, Jim, of 48 years, her children, John (Jaime), Roger (Theresa), Heather (Greg) and 7 loving grandchildren: Rebecca, Luke, Kale, Maeve, Ava, Miles and Merrick. Margaret’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family, learning about their lives and loving on them in unique and special ways.
Margaret is also survived by her siblings Jack (Ann), Clarence (Patty), Pauline (Ray), Howard (Freda), Theresa (Ron) and Gordon, and numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her parents John and Annette Oudman.
There will be a reception on Wednesday April 27th from 7:00-8:30 PM and Margaret’s Celebration of Life will be held on April 28th at 1:00 pm, both which will take place at at Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church (49245 RR 250, County of Leduc). There will also be a private interment for family members.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Friendship Ministries via Etransfer to finance@ebenezercrc.com with Friendship stated in the memo.

It was a pleasure working with Margaret many years ago at Sacred Heart School. We had many laughs together as we shared a classroom of Grade 3 students. Her gentle manner and compassion for less fortunate students was eminent! My sincere condolences to her family and many friends 💕
Margaret was one very special lady ❤️ Her & I shared many many stories. I will treasure our 13.5 years working together side by side at Sobeys. We laughed & we cried. Her cooking ideas & what she was making when you kids were all gathering together. She gave me lots of good ideas too! Right!!! lol Wedding, grandchildren, the cabin trips. Margaret talked dearly of her family. Our condolence Jim, John, Roger & Heather & family. Rest In Peace Margaret ❤️
Our thoughts & prayers Sandy, Wes & family (she new my family to)
Our sympathies to you all, we always enjoyed our meeting up when the two of you were visiting Agassiz. My very first introduction to Margaret was a visit by our neighbour lady Margriet (Margarets friend) and Margaret herself. We were preparing songs for a sunday service, Margaret informed me that she was not much of a singer, , but as we practiced through the songs, her voice rang out as she helped us sing. So fun and easy going!
She will be missed
