It is with broken hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Marcy at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Friday, September 23, 2022 at the age of 66 years. Marcy was a long-time resident of Penhold, Alberta. She was affectionately known by her husband, as ‘Punk’ and as ‘Gigi’ by her children and grandchildren. Marcy loved her family deeply and made friends wherever she went. She touched the hearts of everyone she knew. She was a best friend, a confidante and always a pillar of strength for her three girls and grandchildren. She loved going on road trips and tropical vacations with her husband and spending special time with her family. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Perry Hammer, her daughters, Delanie (Paul) Hill, Brittney Hammer (Clint Covey), Nicole (Trent) Tisnic, her grandchildren, Kailyn, Farrah, Samuel, Lucas, Wyatt, and her sister, Marilyn (Frank) Bitonti, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Marcy was predeceased by her son, Shadrin Chambers, her parents, Edna Georgeson and Herman Janzen, and her siblings, Darrel (Butch) Janzen, Ron Janzen, Darlene Bohning, Michael Janzen. All are welcome to come and pay their respects beginning at 11:30 a.m., prior to the Funeral Service. A Funeral Service will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. For those who are unable to attend, the Funeral will be Live Streamed at www.parklandfuneralhome.com.
