Marcel Fontaine
1927-2022
RICHIBUCTO, NB – Marcel Fontaine, 94, of Richibucto
passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University
Hospital Centre on Sunday, August 14th, 2022.
Born in Saint-Louis, he was the son of the late Vital and Marie-Rose
(Guimond) Fontaine.
Marcel leaves to mourn his four daughters, Diane Robichaud
(Steve) of Ontario, Yvette Maillet (Denis) of Richibouctou-Village,
Bernadette Daigle (Jean) of Saint-Louis and Lyne Robichaud (Zacharie)
of Moncton; his two sons, Ronald Fontaine (Shirley) of Shediac and
Bernard Fontaine (Shirley) of Grand-Barachois; his daughter-in-law,
Norma of Shediac; as well as his 10 grandchildren and his 21
great-grandchildren.
Marcel will also be sadly missed by his sister, Roseanna
Babineau (late Albert) of Saint-Louis; brother-in-law, Cecil Richard
of Richibucto; as well as by his many nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, Marcel was predeceased by his loving
wife Stella (Robichaud) Fontaine; his son Gilles; his four sisters,
Domithilde, Marguerite, Lorraine and Célina; his adopted
sister, Adeline Richard; and his three brothers, Léon,
Albénie and Germain.
Visitation will be held at Thompson Funeral Home, Richibucto,
Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Friday from 9:00 am until departure
for the funeral. The funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, August
19th, 2022 at 11:00 am, Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague
Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto.
