MACLEAN, (Sadie) Mae (nee Hopkins) – Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Villa, Dundas on Tuesday, January 25th, 2022, Mae passed away at the age of 98 years.
Beloved wife of the late John MacLean. Mae is reunited with her son Donnelly MacLean (1993), son-in-law Ken Hood (2020), grandson Wayne Hood (2019), great-granddaughter Kristy-Ann Hood (1996), and many brothers and sisters.
Mae is survived by her loving daughter Margaret Ann Hood and daughter-in-law Eleanor MacLean. She is the cherished grandmother of Lisa MacLean, Lorrie MacLean (Ken), Larry MacLean (Kim), Doug Hood (Arlene), Stephen Hood (Liz), and Sonia Hood. Loving Grannie to 13 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren.
She will be missed by her surviving brothers and sisters, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mae’s family will receive friends and relatives at Temple Baptist Church, 400 Holiday Inn Drive., Cambridge on Monday, January 31, 2022 from 10 am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:30 am. Please RSVP with Temple Baptist Church to attend the Funeral Service. Masks and social distancing will be required. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Mae’s memory may be made to Saint Luke’s Place Foundation or to Temple Baptist Church, Cambridge.
