91 of Halifax passed away February 11, 2022 in the QEII, New Halifax Infirmary site. Born in Liverpool, NS She was a daughter of the late Howard Austin and Emma (MacFarlane) Keddy.
Madeline found her true love, Gordon McClelland, married and started a family of 3 children. She was a housewife and loving mother, took her GED and 1 credit English (NSVU) later in life and worked as a greeting card representative. Along with her husband they enjoyed the camping life for many, many years. After her life time love passed she survived living her life for 19 years until her death. She loved her family.
She is survived by a daughter Janice Carol McClelland, Halifax; son William “Bill” James McClelland, White’s Lake; grandchildren Scott Hogan, James, Hogan, Kimberly Bellefeville, Sherry Lynn (Tommy) Smith, Elizabeth McClelland (Kathy Gould), Katherine McClelland (Andrew), Andrai (Holly) McClelland; great-grandchildren Emily Delong, Olivia Samuel, Eli Riley McClelland
Predeceased by her husband Gordon James McClelland (2003); son John Douglas McClelland (1950); daughters Patricia Linda Hogan (2002); brothers Victor, Milford, “Junior” Howard; sister Barbara Keddy
Private family burial will take place.
