In loving memory of Lynda Bailey (nee Alford) who passed away peacefully at the Maison McCulloch Hospice on Wednesday December 7, 2022 at the age of 78 years. Lynda was born in Windsor to the late George and Bessie (born Peterson) Alford. Beloved wife of Ronald Gary Bailey. Loving mother of Derrick Bailey (Cindy), Gwyn Bailey (Steve Paynter) and Shauna Bailey (Chris Oriet) and sister to George Alford (wife Darlene) both predeceased. Treasured Grams to Deklan, Sera, Michael, Adrienne and Leith. Remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Lynda was the ultimate giver of squishy hugs, keeper and giver of pocket hugs and kisses and the encourager of believing. She was a teacher with the Rainbow District School Board for over 40 years. An active member of the local lion’s club, volunteered with the Sudbury Theatre Centre, member of the cheeky cardinals red hat group, and member of retired teachers’ association. She loved to travel, go on cruises, scrapbooking and card making.
Resting at the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home where friends may gather from 2-6pm Saturday. Funeral service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel on Sunday, December 11th, 2022 at 2pm. Cremation with burial of ashes on Tuesday, December 13th at the Civic Memorial Cemetery at 9:30am. Donations can be made in Lynda’s memory to the Maison McCulloch Hospice or the Northeast Cancer Centre.
