It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of Lydia on October 3, 2022 at 84 years of age. Cherished sister of the late Nenita (the late Jose), the late Aurora Corazon, Estrellita (George), the late Napoleon (Yolanda), Elizabeth and the late Frederick. Predeceased by her parents Fermin and Crispina Bueno. She will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
Lydia came to the United States in 1965 and worked at Henry Ford Hospital as a Social Worker. She entered Canada in 1967 and worked at Huron Lodge and Hospital for Sick Children and taught as a professor at the University of Windsor. She graduated from University of Philippines with a Master Degree in Social Work and Pre-doctorial at Wayne State University, Detroit Michigan. Lydia re-entered the United States in 1975 and worked in administration in social work at St. John Hospital, Detroit Michigan.

Visitation Friday October 14, 2022 from 3 – 5 pm & 6 – 9 pm with Parish Prayers at 7 pm at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor. On Saturday October 15, 2022 friends and family are invited to gather at Our Lady of Assumption Parish (2735 University Ave W.) for a 10 am Funeral Mass. Cremation to follow.
