Stanley James Lyddiatt – April 24, 1947 to November 21, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Stan Lyddiatt, in his 76th year.
Beloved father to Kim Gifford, father-in-law to Shaun Gifford and proud Grandpa to Spencer Gifford; James Lyddiatt (Natalie), grandfather to Amber (Greg) and Jake (Carly) and great-grandfather to Thea and Evelyn. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Beatrice Lyddiatt. Survived by his siblings Ted, Esther Elshaw, Ron, Dave, Gordon and Gerald, and nephews Rick, Brad, Mike, Adam, Cory, Kurt and Neal.
Stan owned and operated his excavating company out of Wellandport for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed tinkering with never ending projects, racing his van, playing hockey, hunting, touring on his Harley Davidson, snowmobiling, and helping others. He helped bring home stranded children from school during the Blizzard of ‘77, was a Volunteer Firefighter and a member of the Odd Fellows.
