Louise Sherwin 1940 2022 avis de deces

Louise Sherwin
1940 – 2022
Louise Lillian Sherwin (nee Schinbein) passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at the age of 81 years. Louise was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and spent her childhood in Kayville and Crane Valley, Saskatchewan. She married Eugene Dale Sherwin on August 25, 1957 in Verwood, Saskatchewan. The couple spent some time on the family farm and then made their home in Crane Valley, Saskatchewan. Together Louise and Dale raised four children: Tim & Betty (Hesterman), Calvin & Alison (Jordison), Marnel & Keith (Hesterman) and Cory & Cheryl (Wong). Through the years they were blessed with many grandchildren: Michael & Heather Sherwin, Sabrina & Dwayne Tabler, Jeremy and Johnathon, Jamey & Lindsey Jordison, Teneal & Mike Brockley and Carson Hesterman and great-grandchildren: Tara & Justin Sherwin, Britton & Teeson Tabler, Halee, Macey, & Bryleigh Jordison, & Avery & Owen Brockley. She was predeceased by her parents Adolf, Emma, and step-dad Rene; brother, Murray Segaert; step-brother, Ed Schinbein and her step-sister, Victoria Ikert. Louise was a wife, mother and homemaker who loved gardening and canning, raising sheep and doing crafts such as card making, quilting, sewing, cake decorating, and oil painting. She loved music and dancing and was a double-step Ukranian dance enthusiast. Louise was a partner in the farm and in the Esso business with Dale as well as a hairdresser. She was also the custodian of the Crane Valley School and became a care home operator in Regina, Saskatchewan in the 90’s. Louise was an active member in the Kinette Club of Oro Lake, the Edsel Car Club and the Medicine Hat Church Quilting Cub. Louise held fond memories of dancing at Danceland at Manitou Beach and going on excursions with the Edsel Car Club. The marking of special anniversaries also brought fond memories: a trip to Knoxville, TN., to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary, a trip to Alaska to celebrate 50 years of marriage and a celebration with family and friends in Medicine Hat to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. She also made some very special connections with some of the international exchange students that they offered room and board to while they were in Regina, Saskatchewan. Louise will be fondly remembered for being the caretaker of those who were less than capable of caring for themselves. Louise’s memory will be fondly remembered without the proceedings of a formal funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Louise’s memory can be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Louise Sherwin 1940 2022..
