Lorraine Dora Gauthier (Lincez)
February 24,1941 – April 18, 2022
It is with saddened hearts that the family of Lorraine Gauthier announce her passing at Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre on Monday, April 18, 2022 at the age of 81 years.
Lorraine will be lovingly remembered by her children, Anne (Dale), Kim (Chad) and Josee (Adam); her grandchildren, Derek, Chad, Britney, Adisin and River; her great grandchildren, Jaime, Sophia, Charlee, Heidi, Mikko, Millie and Sabastian. Also cherishing Lorraine’s memory is her sister Irene (Etienne) and brother Danny (Margaret).
She is predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Raymond Gauthier.
Family and friends will always remember Lorraine’s feisty and spirited nature – she was indeed “a fighter and not a quitter”. She was a social butterfly who loved to spend time with family and friends playing the ponies, cards or just having a good time with whoever she was with. She especially enjoyed her adventures in Yuma. More than anything, the family will always cherish her magnetic personality, and the way she came alongside family and friends with her generosity, kindness and caring. Lorraine deeply touched many hearts, and she will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
A celebration of Lorraine’s life will take place on July 23, 2022, at the Lakewood Village Golf Resort, 1237 TWP Road 391, Sylvan Lake, Alberta. The family asks that you join them for a BBQ lunch at 1:00 pm. Please RSVP if you are attending to ck.arnold21@yahoo.com.
In keeping with Lorraine’s love for animals, the family would like to ask, that in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her name to a SPCA or animal shelter in your local area.
