Loretta Berno March 6th 2022

In loving memory of Loretta Berno
April 20, 1935 – March 6, 2022
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Loretta Berno on March 6, 2022. Loretta was born in the small town of Milo, Alberta, on April 20, 1935. Loretta was 1 of 6 children to Margret and Raymond Peterson of Milo, Alberta. After high school Loretta moved to the big city of Calgary and started her career at Imperial Oil where she met her husband Edward. In 1965, after many years in Calgary, they decided to move to Trail to start a new life and raise their 3 beautiful children. Loretta worked at the Bank of Montreal in several positions over the years until her retirement in 2001.
Loretta loved many things especially reading, curling, knitting, gardening and playing bridge with her friends. Nothing gave her more pleasure than spending time with her grandchildren. She was always friendly, helpful and caring to anyone she came in contact with and was considered by many to have the “Heart of an Angel.”
Loretta is survived by her husband Edward of 61 years, daughter Carol, son-in-law Gary, sons Gerry and Don, grandchildren: Cole, Reid, Kate, Dana, Chase and Grace, along with many other relatives.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at “Carberry’s Chapel”, 1298 Pine Avenue, Trail, BC with Father Francis dela Cruz, Celebrant. Burial will take place at Mountain View Cemetery. Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Loretta Berno March 6th 2022..
