Lois McDermott
1949-2022
TARGETTVILLE, NB – Lois McDermott 72, of
Targettville passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont
University Hospital Center in Moncton on Friday, January 29,
2022. Born in Bass River, she was the daughter of the late
Harold Ryan and late Irma (Campbell)
Ryan.
She was known for her kind heart and beautiful
soul. Everyone that crossed her path could feel her
love. Lois’ passions was going to church, spending
time with her grand-babies, playing bingo, scratching tickets and
cooking up a storm. Everyone will miss her famous donuts and
Grammie Ryan’s molasses cookies.
Lois will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Sue Wellman
(Wayne) of Smiths Corner, Crystal Albert (Roger) of Saint John; one
son, Glen McDermott (Abby) of Elsipogtog; seven grandchildren, Justin,
Jessica, Cody, Shelby, Joshua, Louis, Luc and five great
grandchildren, Daxton, Annabelle, Oaklyn, Weston, Jed and one more on
the way.
She is also survived by two sisters, Willah Ryan of Bass
River, Olive Ward (Walter) of Rexton; three brothers, Gary Ryan
(Sheila), Danny Ryan (Lynn), Robert Ryan (Brenda) all of Bass River;
one brother-in-law, Vincent Spencer of Sudbury, ON and many nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband
Freeman; one sister, Carolyn and two brothers, George and
Leonard.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home
in Richibucto on Tuesday beginning at 1:00 – 3:00
pm. A private family service will be held at
Thompson’s Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, February 1, 2022
at 3:00 pm.
Following provincial COVID-19 regulations, a maximum of 50
people at a time will be allowed in the funeral home, visitors will be
required to provide proof of double COVID-19 vaccination and
government issued ID to enter the funeral home, masks are mandatory
and we ask that social distancing is respected.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lois’ memory may
be made to St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church.

Funeral Home in Richibucto (523-4252).
