Jackie was born in Bucharest, Romania in 1936. Her family fled the Holocaust and settled in Montreal in the 1950s. She later moved to New York City to fulfill her ambition of working in the fashion industry.
Jackie took a lot of pride in her work at The Jewish Museum and years of service as a volunteer at New York’s Lenox Hill Hospital.
Jackie was a devoted sister, cousin and dog lover, and many of her neighbors know and love her White American Eskimo Dog, Pooky.
We hope you can join her sister Dina, Pooky, family and friends in celebrating a precious and unique soul.
