It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Lionel “Lyle” David Lemay on August 15,2022. He was predeceased by his Father Lloyd, Mother Jessie and numerous Aunts and Uncles. He is survived by his children Kaitlyn (Brandon and baby), Craig, Brandon and Elaine, Brother Brent (Virginia), niece Kimberley, numerous step nieces and nephews, Janice Swartz, and loving partner Jenny Grizans.
Lyle was born in Kenora, Ontario on August 29, 1959. He attended Keewatin Public school and Beaver Brae secondary school. He started his working career at Woolworth’s, then moved on to Westburn. Lyle then moved to Thunder Bay, Ontario and began working at NESCO, before becoming a loyal employee at EMCO for just shy of 40 years.
Lyle previously married Lisa Kachor and had four Beautiful children. Later in life he met Jenny and enjoyed their time together.
Lyle was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, quadding, and going to camp. He enjoyed coffee at Tim Hortons (all locations) and would frequently make his rounds. You could also find him at Mission Marsh watching the deer and wildlife.
Lyle was a social butterfly that had an endless sea of friends wherever he went. Lyle could be found at The Polish Hall having some drinks with Al and the gang. Lyle was close friends with Arnie and brother-in-law Edward, who all enjoyed the passion of hunting and fishing together.
We will all miss his quirky sense of humour through his many catch phrases that will never be forgotten, such as, “Na-Ner-Ner”, “It’s FRIDAY!!!” and “Simply Marvellous”.
The celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or light a candle in his memory.
